That Kaucacity! In the “Bodyguard” remake, Kim Kardashian is reportedly “at the top of the list” to play Whitney Houston

Fans are still discussing who they would like to see in the upcoming Bodyguard remake, and one person at the top of the list isn’t very well-liked. 

As soon as it was revealed that the 1992 movie The Bodyguard will be remade, fans on X began to wish for the lead pair, who were originally portrayed by Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. In addition to Halle Bailey and her co-star Jonah Hauer-King from Little Mermaid, other fans have suggested 9-1-1 duo Peter Krause and Angela Bassett for the part.

However, Kim Kardashian is reportedly the most popular choice for the lead part, according to Daily Mail reports. The publication asserts that the script has been “specifically tailored” for Kardashian, who wants to debut as a leading lady on the big screen.

Since Sam Wrench, the director of the 2023 film about Taylor’s Eras Tour, is directing the Bodyguard remake, everyone instantly believed Taylor Swift would play the lead, the part filled by Whitney Houston in the original movie. However, Kim is highly desired by Warner Bros., the studio that is redoing the original, a source told the Daily Mail. “Kim was taken into consideration when writing the script, and there have already been several meetings.”

The original film stars Whitney Houston as singer Rachel Marron, who is being harassed by a crazy fan. Kevin Costner also played her security, Frank Farmer. The movie received two Oscar nominations, and the soundtrack went on to become the best-selling soundtrack in cinema history.

“Everyone assumes that the remake will be a musical, but there has been discussion about a sequel for years, and the majority of the discussion has been about taking it in a different direction, using a global celebrity, but not necessarily having it as a musical, more of a straightforward drama,” the insider continued.

Kim Kardashian, who has been in Disaster Movie, Ocean’s Eight, and most recently, American Horror Story, has apparently aspired to enter the “serious” acting industry for some time. A major role like this, however, would be a significant change from her prior cameos.

According to a different insider who spoke to Daily Mail, Kim is among the most well-known women in the world. She thinks she has the potential to become a big-budget movie star. She is aware that she would make an excellent member of The Bodyguard. Everyone is giddy.
