Upcoming Music Mogul? SZA is set to launch her own beauty brand

SZA is introducing a new beauty brand.

The 35-year-old singer-songwriter’s Not Beauty will debut with a lip gloss and will later broaden its range to feature lip stains, lip liners, and lip creams.

SZA shared that her choice to venture into the beauty industry stemmed from her difficulty in finding a lip gloss that could endure “as long as my show, as long as my conversation, as long as my date.”

In a press release, she stated: “Not Beauty wasn’t about my attempt to break into the beauty market; it’s about addressing a need, about my desire for something that would endure as long as my show, my conversation, and my date.”

“Nothing else existed that provided that experience for me while also leaving my skin feeling moisturised.” I may not be an expert in many areas, but I have a deep understanding of lips, and it seems to me that Not Beauty does not embody true beauty. I wanted to share something that has been effective for me, and I hope it proves beneficial for you as well. It’s truly expertly crafted. It’s fantastic.

She also shared on Instagram: “YOU ALL REQUESTED THE LIP COMBO AND IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!” I want to emphasize that the lip products I have been developing and perfecting for years are now available for everyone to experience.

The initial offering, a moisturizing lip gloss, will be released in three shades – In the Flesh, Strawberry Jelly, and Quartz. 

The press release states that it was “born from genuine need that crafts quality planet-conscious essentials and reflects her own novice approach to beauty.”

The packaging draws inspiration from nature, incorporating elements from the wild such as wood textures, plants, insects, and vibrant natural colors, seamlessly merging bushcraft influences with a hint of femininity.

The gloss will initially be offered exclusively in pop-up stores throughout the United States as part of SZA’s Grand National Tour.

The availability of the item in beauty retailers remains uncertain.
