Cassie Slams Diddy Harder For Requesting Bank Statements

This time, Cassie has no interest in following Diddy’s instructions!

In their legal struggle, the singer has expressed her disapproval of the troubled music mogul’s latest request, urging the court to reject it as well.

Last year, Cassie, who had been dating Diddy for more than ten years, accused him of repeatedly abusing her sexually and physically.

Diddy and Cassie are currently at odds in court; he has subpoenaed her to provide her bank statements and any writings or drafts of a book she wrote about their relationship.

Cassie claims in her court filings that the subpoena she was served on March 19 is too general and early, and she is requesting that the court step in to revoke it.

Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, had previously asserted that Cassie had shown interest in paying $30 million to him for the rights to her book in order to stop it from being published.

But after changing counsel, Cassie’s new lawyer said the book was irrelevant because she was planning to sue Diddy in civil court.

According to TMZ, Cassie later filed this lawsuit, which was resolved the day after she started the process and contained serious claims of rape and abuse. Cassie is currently concentrating on getting the court to reject the subpoena.

The legal team for the model maintained that the assault video was authentic.

The Blast reported in March that Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, had addressed the rapper’s charges of altering a 2016 assault tape that CNN had made public. The rapper’s defense team claimed that the only copy of the video was destroyed by CNN.

They implied that Diddy was portrayed negatively in the network’s widely shared viral video. Wigdor refuted Diddy’s assertions, stating that the video depicts the incident in question truthfully.

Despite the continued disagreements about the validity of the video, he said he is confident it will be shown as evidence in Diddy’s future sex crimes trial. Additionally, the lawyer thought Diddy’s attempt to get the video excluded from the trial would ultimately be unsuccessful.

The defense team for Diddy asserted that the video was only a domestic dispute.

In the past, Diddy’s legal team had claimed that the judge’s decision about the rapper’s bail conditions was influenced by the alteration of the assault footage featuring Cassie.

They said that during his bail hearing, federal prosecutors showed a manipulated version of the viral video with the intention of making him appear more dangerous than he actually was. Prosecutors misrepresented the encounter as a criminal act rather than a domestic argument, his legal team added.

The prosecutors had access to the uncensored film, according to Diddy’s lawyers, but they altered it to support their most compelling claims of obstruction and risk.

Diddy’s defense team tried to put the violent behavior in the video in context by calling the altercation a “sad glimpse into a decade-long consensual relationship.”

They also contended that the incident refuted the claims of forced sexual acts and sex trafficking made by the federal prosecutors.

According to reports, the mother-of-two is working on releasing new music.

Positively speaking, The Blast revealed in October of last year that Cassie is allegedly preparing a musical comeback following years of silence brought on by her tumultuous relationship with Diddy.

She is thinking of releasing new songs, including unheard pieces, in the wake of his recent incarceration and the resignations of certain executives connected to him.

According to sources, Cassie is thrilled about the possibility of a professional comeback because she has a number of unreleased songs ready to go, pending the proper timing and business agreements.

Agreements about royalty splits have been established, and her collaborators have also been informed.

The purpose of Cassie’s lawsuit was to provide victims of sexual abuse and violence with a voice.

The singer filed a startling lawsuit in November 2023, exposing a history of rape, sexual assault, and harassment during her lengthy relationship with Diddy.

She said in her accusations that she was caught up in a cycle of assault, abuse, and sex trafficking that lasted ten years. She also mentioned a particularly horrific experience in 2018, in which she was raped while trying to flee him.

She also said that she was signed to his record label, where he allegedly coerced her into abusing drugs and alcohol excessively.

According to reports, he also needed her to get illegal prescription drugs for his addictions. The vocalist of “The Boys” said that while filming, Diddy forced her to perform sex activities with male employees.

In the lawsuit, Cassie said, “After years in silence, I am ready to share my story and advocate for other women facing violence and abuse,” highlighting the urgency of the situation given that New York’s Adult Survivors Act is about to expire.

As the months pass, there are still new developments in Cassie and Diddy’s lawsuit!
