Post Malone and his ex-fiance are currently at odds over custody of their daughter

Post Malone’s ex-fiance is making demands, which could lead to a custody dispute.

The rapper’s former partner, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, is asking for a modification of the current custody agreement, which would grant the rapper just visitation rights.

Hee Sung “Jamie” Park and Post Malone apparently ended their low-key relationship as 2024 came to an end, two years after they welcomed their daughter in 2022.

Malone’s former partner wants to share custody of the singer’s property.

In court filings, Park, Malone’s ex-fiance, has requested full physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, known as “DDP.” 

She is asking for just visitation privileges to be granted to the musician.

According to Park, DDP has been living with her since November 2024, around the time of her breakup with Malone, and she is also open to sharing legal custody. 

Malone and his new girlfriend, Christy Lee, have been spotted together after their breakup, including during a romantic meal in Paris, according to TMZ. He recently filed for custody in Utah, but the specifics are still under wraps, and he hasn’t replied to Park’s custody request yet.

In a 2022 interview with Howard Stern, the rapper acknowledged that he was engaged, but the majority of their relationship remained secret. 

The “Call Her Daddy podcast” featured a funny story about Malone’s first marriage proposal to Jamie, which happened in Las Vegas when he was drunk, according to Commingsoon. 

He asked her to marry him out of the blue after he lost a lot of money at the casino, but she said no, saying he should try again the following day. 

She agreed to sober when he proposed. Malone, who has praised Jamie in a number of interviews, has called her the “No. 1 mom in the f-cking universe.” He knew early on that Jamie would make a wonderful mother and had always dreamed of starting a large family.

The rapper made the joyful announcement that he and his fiancée had a baby in May 2022 in a casual interview with Howard Stern the following month. They were expecting a baby, he had told PEOPLE weeks before.

Notwithstanding his hectic schedule, he acknowledged the challenges of juggling his work and fatherhood. In an interview with GQ, the rapper said that even though his daughter was beginning to come see him more frequently, being apart from her was difficult.

His greatest concern, being unable to be there for his child, was revealed in August 2023 when he appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast. He was inspired to cut back on his drinking and concentrate on improving his personal hygiene as a result.

The lyricist hoped his daughter would enjoy his songs.

In an interview with GQ, Malone said he was interested in whether his baby daughter will enjoy his music. “I see it as a good sign that she hasn’t cried when he plays his songs,” he said.

He said he was excited to let her find her own tastes and hoped she would like his music, as he thinks a lot of children do. 

But he joked that she might one day tell him, “Dad, you suck,” to which he hilariously conceded that she might not appreciate his work just because it is connected to him. Just leave.”

The rapper has watched many artists cover his songs throughout the years, transforming them into lullabies and Kidz Bop renditions. Playing these lullabies for his daughter makes him happy, and he occasionally forgets they are his tunes.

During the discussion, he said he loved the lullabies and that they are pleasant to hear. Frequently having trouble remembering the melodies, he even talked about playing the songs and attempting to identify which one it is.
