Brother Damon is scolded by Marion Wayans for his history of showing interest in the partners of relatives
Marlon Wayans is attacking the family business, specifically targeting his older brother, Damon Wayans Sr.
The younger celebrity did not hold back while criticizing him for what he perceived to be a dubious behavior. A week after Damon confessed to dating his nephew’s ex-girlfriend, he made these remarks.
Comedy icons Shawn, Keenen Ivory, and Kim are among the eleven siblings that make up Marlon Wayans’ close-knit New York family.
Brother Damon Wayans Sr. is dragged by Marlon Wayans for pursuing “even the ugly ones.”
The comedian criticized Damon for what he claims is a long-standing practice of getting close to women who had dated other family members during an open moment at LAX.
When Marlon referred to Damon as the “girlfriend-stealing bandit of the Wayans clan,” he did not mince words. His words, “Damon, you gon’ stop doing this,” were akin to pleading with his brother to cease the repeated transgression. “It ain’t the first time, stop it!”
TMZ captured the scathing remarks, in which Marlon made light of an unspoken family taboo and even spit out the brief freestyle, “Don’t bring a girl around D, two playing for real.” He said, “It’s not what brothers, siblings, uncles, and nephews do.”
And Marlon made it apparent that Damon is not picky just when you thought he might slow down. “Even the ugly ones, he takes ’em all,” he replied. He even remembered bringing one woman over, believing she would not attract Damon’s attention until the 64-year-old still thought she was attractive.
The elder Wayans acknowledged that he had dated his nephew’s ex.
Damon had previously stirred eyebrows with a bombshell of his own before Marlon publicly lambasted his brother. Damon admitted to have dated a lady who had a love relationship with his nephew in an open interview with Shannon Sharpe on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
The seasoned comedian did not back down from the contentious admission, according to The Blast, and acknowledged, “I was in love with her.”
“I saw her, and I was just like, ‘Oh my God,'” he claimed, recalling how he was immediately pulled to the woman. “I’m in love.” Later on, he learned that she had dated a member of his own family.
Damon attempted to put things in perspective when Sharpe brought up the apparent question of whether it went too far, stating that his nephew and the woman were not in love and making a joke about how people act as though he is the first to do this kind of thing.
“You ain’t never done the Jackson 5?” he asked, making a playful analogy to the Jacksons. a reference to Jermaine Jackson’s marriage to his brother Randy’s former partner.
The father of four reflected on his relationship with his nephew’s ex-partner.
The celebrity explained how the entire situation unfolded rather than only admitting to dating his nephew’s ex. In an effort to prevent needless conflict, Damon said that he sought his nephew’s approval before pursuing the woman.
Damon quipped that handling family gatherings had its embarrassing moments, even if the green light might have calmed his conscience. Nevertheless, the Wayans dynasty is renowned for establishing their careers together in sitcoms, sketch comedy, and movies; their partnerships have grown to be a defining feature of their success.
Damon is now costarring with his real-life son, Damon Wayans Jr., in the CBS comedy “Poppa’s House” during the time of his reflection. His siblings continue to play a significant role behind the scenes. He directed an episode with his sister Kim and brother Marlon behind the camera.
