Kim Kardashian faced the ‘horrifying’ threat of her late father’s private messages becoming public
Kim Kardashian’s problems with her late father’s mementos are exacerbated by her ongoing concern that the world may learn of Robert Kardashian Sr.’s private letters.
Recently, the former cast member of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” lost her attempt to acquire her father’s bible, which had been in O.J. Simpson’s estate.
As the former NFL player’s friend and defense lawyer, Robert Kardashian became well-known. His recollections of O.J. Simpson are said to still be at the latter’s estate, despite the fact that he and Simpson are long dead.
Kim Kardashian desires the return of her father’s belongings to her family.
Even though Robert passed away on September 30, 2003, more than 20 years ago, he continues to play a vital role in his family’s lives. In particular, Kim has been outspoken in her attempts to get her father’s possessions back from Simpson’s estate.
According to a source, the reality TV queen and her family fear that if Robert’s belongings are not scrutinized, they could come back to haunt them. Kim wanted her father’s possessions restored to his loved ones rather than remaining in Simpson’s estate, thus they said the circumstance left her with a bad taste in her mouth.
She currently has no means of knowing what else O.J. might have kept from her father, which is a worrisome situation. The insider revealed, as reported by In Touch, that “there’s no way of knowing what Robert Sr. may have written to O.J. because they exchanged so many private letters over the years.”
“Kim and the entire family find it terrifying that his personal letters could become public knowledge. To get ahead of this, they’re rushing.”
A bid for Robert Kardashian’s Bible was lost by the founder of Skims.
When Kim discovered her late father’s bible, she started working to recover his possessions. After Simpson was charged with infamous double murder, Robert allegedly gave him the bible. According to the source, before passing away in April 2024 from prostate cancer, the latter cherished the gift from his friend for decades.
For Simpson, the bible held nostalgic value, but for Kim, who yearned for even tiny glimpses of her father, it held greater significance. When the bible was put up for sale in March by the estate of the disgraced NFL veteran, she made a valiant attempt to win it. Sadly, her $15,000 purchase of the memorabilia was not enough.
The bible was sold to its new owner on March 29 when an anonymous bidder exceeded Kim’s offer with an incredible $80,000. The TV star was severely affected by the loss, according to the insider, who said:
“Kim had sentimental reasons for wanting this bible returned. It’s part of her dad’s legacy, but it also means a lot to her to see his handwriting. She did not want a stranger to possess it.
Kim’s offer was criticized by O.J. Simpson’s estate executor as being too low.
Kim’s attempt to retrieve her father’s bible from Simpson’s estate was reported by The Blast last month. She made an offer of $15,000 for the sentimental object to Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of the estate. But since it was already contracted with the court to be sold at auction, he declined.
“The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money —why would I spend $15,000 in attorney’s fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000?” LaVergne quarreled. He reiterated that her offer was too low, saying:
“The game is zero-sum. It’s a poor business strategy. We would have gone in court to get this allowed outside of the auction if Kim had given $150,000.
Kim was instructed by LaVergne to place an online bid for her father’s bible, which at the time had a $9,800 price. The “The Kardashians” star could be able to get the item for less than her bid price if she’s lucky, he said. Regretfully, Robert’s bible had different ideas due to fate.
A handwritten note from the entertainer’s father was found in the Bible.
Kim may have been interested in the bible because of the handwritten inscription inside, in addition to the fact that it was her father’s memento. LaVergne verified that the item included a heartfelt note from Robert to Simpson after the latter was double-murdered in 1994.
“This book will be helpful, O.J. God will use his words to communicate with you because he loves you. Every day, read this book. God’s plan for your life is clear. He will take advantage of you again since you are his child. Robert’s note said, “God loves you, and I love you.”
Robert and Simpson had a strong relationship, and Robert even defended the disgraced athlete in his murder trial. Simpson was acquitted on all counts in 1995 as a result of his efforts.
The triumph was short-lived, though, as he was eventually convicted in a civil trial in 1997 of killing Nicole Simpson, his estranged wife, and her friend Ronald Goldman.
