Coachella Is Rocked by Megan Thee Stallion
Courtney LaPlante, Victoria Monet, Ciara, Queen Latifah, and other special guests joined Megan Thee Stallion in rocking Coachella.
During her 18-song set on Sunday, April 14, the “WAP” rapper dominated, including a medley of “Freak Nasty,” “Girls in the Hood,” “Where Them Girls At,” and “Savage,” as well as a rendition of GloRilla’s “Wanna Be.”
The frontwoman Courtney of Spiritbox, whose band she had previously collaborated with on a heavy metal remix of “Cobra,” subsequently joined Megan for the live premiere of their duet “TYG.”
Before she movedly delivered her own song, “U.N.I.T.Y.”, it was time for hip-hop legend Latifah to join her for the uplifting female hymn, “Plan B.”
There were more surprises ahead.
Victoria performed “On My Mama,” one of her songs, at the live premiere of “Spin.”
Lastly, Ciara combined her noughties hit song “Goodies” with the hip-hop powerhouse’s debut single “Roc Steady.”
The second round will take place in the desert on Sunday, April 20.
