GloChella! GloRilla Talks About Quitting Alcohol, Releases Her New Single, and Makes Her Coachella Debut

GloRilla is determined to make a lasting impression, and her Coachella debut might have been the final nail in the coffin.

The rapper from Memphis headlined her first major tour and gave one of the weekend’s most anticipated performances on the large stage in the desert. In addition to enjoying a plethora of Big Glo’s songs, festival attendees had the opportunity to hear a sneak peek at her most recent single, which samples the song “Love” by Keyshia Cole.

On April 12, she will resume her Glorious Tour in Las Vegas, stopping in Los Angeles and Oakland before returning to Coachella for the second weekend. On May 31, she will also be present at the yearly Roots Picnic. GloRilla has kicked off 2025 with a bang, maintaining her position as one of the hottest rap artists in the business. Despite leaving empty-handed, she received the Powerhouse Award at Billboard’s Women In Music event and was nominated for two Grammys this year.

She started a lifestyle shift in 2025, which may have contributed to her success this year. GloRilla encouraged her supporters to fast in order to foster better health and discipline after announcing her North American tour. completing a book, exercising three times a week, and abstaining from clubs during the 30-day fast. There was one aspect of the fast that she found particularly difficult, despite the fact that it helped her get ready for her hectic touring schedule.

Even though I’m not a drinker, I definitely say that drinking [was] the hardest to avoid. I only ever take shots infrequently. In an interview with BET, she declared, “I enjoy margaritas.” “I [had] a lot of things to do, such as the Super Bowl and All-Star Weekend.” I couldn’t drink, and I had shows. Usually, I like to get ready with a small beverage. However, I was unable to achieve it.

She went on,

“The few individuals that did it with me found it easier as a result. “Oh my god,” I thought as everyone else was merely drinking. I was making an effort to avoid them.

However, GloRilla’s dominance doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. Let’s toast to it!
