Isaiah Bond, an NFL Draft hopeful, turns himself up after receiving a sexual assault warrant

Serious accusations have been made against one of the best NFL prospects in the country.

The University of Texas’s star wide receiver, Isaiah Bond, turned himself in to Frisco, Texas, police in relation to a sexual assault warrant. The Frisco Police Department confirmed that he was later freed after posting bond.

On Thursday, April 10th, the 20-year-old responded to the accusations in a message posted on his verified Instagram account: “I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false.”

He went on to say, “I am fully cooperating with the authorities and will continue to be a willing and active participant in the investigation.” “Unfortunately, without a thorough investigation, statements like these turn out to be detrimental to everyone concerned. I respectfully ask that everyone hold off on making any decisions until the authorities have produced a thorough report supported by facts and evidence.

The accusations’ specifics have not yet been made public.

Bond started his collegiate career at Alabama, where he caught 65 passes for 888 yards and five touchdowns. He is anticipated to be selected in the second round of the NFL Draft later this month. Following his transfer to Texas, he recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns in 2024. In a game-winning performance versus UTSA, he even recorded a speed of 22 mph.

At the NFL Combine, the speedster also ran a 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds. He worked out privately with the Buffalo Bills before being arrested, and he had plans to visit the Browns, Packers, Chiefs, Titans, and Falcons, among other organizations.
