Birdman and Toni Braxton, both Cash Money Millionaires, nearly divorced two weeks after being married

Toni Braxton, a living legend, is married to a Cash Money tycoon. Before experiencing a change of heart, the legendary singer secretly married Birdman in August and filed for divorce two weeks later. 

According to TMZ, which cites legal documents, Braxton, 57, and Birdman, 56, was married on August 8, 2024, but only two days later, they experienced a difficult time. According to the publication, Toni described the marriage as “irretrievably broken” and stated that she and the NOLA rapper parted ways on August 10 and filed for divorce two weeks later.

However, according to TMZ, the singer denied her divorce file in January 2025, and Birdman approved the documents as well, proving that they had gotten back together and are still married today.

In 2016, Birdman and Toni Braxton began dating.

Although they had known one another for years before to going public, Birdman and Toni Braxton have been romantically involved since 2016.

There were reports that they eloped in 2018.

Although that was not true, Toni informed Wendy Williams that the founder of Cash Money Records proposed to her with a huge $1 million engagement ring and gave her till the end of the year to organize their wedding.

“We were doing Braxton Family Values and we were having a little drama, so I thought, ‘Okay, the wedding is a good thing to get all of us sisters together,’ but I couldn’t get us all together,” Toni added. “We almost had a date, actually we had two dates.”

Later, after her luggage was misplaced during a flight, Toni famously lost the engagement ring. 

Birdman talked about their romance on Wendy Williams back in 2019.

After clearing their Instagram accounts of each other later that year, Toni wrote, “Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice but always choose to be chosen.” This fuelled suspicions of a breakup between Birdman and Toni. To the new year, cheers.

“It’s over,” Birdman continued in his own Instagram story.

However, Birdman was seen at Toni’s show a few weeks later, and they gave each other a hug.

They seemed to break up in 2023, according to Toni’s Instagram posts;

“I’m not married to my good friend @birdman. She wrote, “Never been married.” “Neither of us is dating.”

However, it’s obvious that they made up and are now contented husband and wife.
