Strange World: A Chinese woman uses the restroom at work to save money

To save money, a woman relocated into the restroom at work.

In a now-viral TikTok video, Yang, a 19-year-old woman from Huan, China, revealed that she had resorted to living in the factory restroom where she works because she was unable to pay more than 800 yuan ($110) for decent housing.

“Now, just having a place to live is enough for me,” she remarked. I don’t want to rent a house for a lot of money. I simply cannot afford to rent a house for 800 yuan!

The young woman can be seen in the video stepping out of a bed she put in the bathroom and using a little kettle that is plugged into the wall to boil water.

She can be seen at one time using the six-foot area to make noodles.

Even though she posted photos of herself living in the bathroom, some social media users weren’t convinced that any of this had truly happened. Her manager then resorted to social media to reaffirm that everything was real.

“She insisted on paying me an additional 50 yuan per month for electricity and water, but I didn’t want to take her money,” he stated.
