Screaming it out in the mountains, Gabourey Sidibe is reveling in the sunshine of her blissful married life!

In honor of the celebration, the actress is taking a trip down memory lane to commemorate the fourth anniversary of her marriage to Brandon Frankel, my true love.

Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel were married in a low-key ceremony in March 2021, four months after Frankel proposed.

In a recent post, Sidibe reflected on her fourth wedding anniversary with Frankel. They got married at their kitchen table rather than a traditional wedding, which Sidibe said was ideal for them during the COVID pandemic. 

Sidibe said that married life has been immensely satisfying as they celebrated their anniversary a few weeks ago. The actress highlighted the close connection that serves as the basis for their partnership. To put it in her own words:

“To be completely honest, married life has been amazing. He is, in fact, my closest friend. It’s true that we are best friends. Indeed, we are. 

On Instagram on March 12, the Oscar-nominated actress and her husband, who leads marketing and branding, commemorated their four-year milestone.

Sidibe also considered how her connection with Frankel changed over time, seeing how it changed. She was wary of him at first, as she usually is with strangers. 

But their bond grew stronger as he went from being a stranger to a friend, then to someone she fell in love with, and finally to her boyfriend. 

Seeing this development has been a lovely trip for her. After being my fiancé, she went on to become her husband, a father, and the head of our family.

Watching her husband “grow as a person in that way” has been amazing and thrilling, Sidibe added. The actress expressed her hope that her hubby will feel the same way about her development.

In 2025, the mother-of-two also shared her intentions, which include juggling her career and motherhood duties. The celebrity is now starring in the Lifetime film “Give Me Back My Daughter.”

Sidibe talked about her friendship with Frankel in a poignant essay. She remembered that a few months into their relationship, a tarot card reading had told her that he would soon be married and start a family.

This realization made Sidibe both excited and worried since she had a gut feeling that their destinies were linked. She said she wasn’t sure she was really prepared for the voyage.

“I was afraid I wasn’t mature enough to be a mother and a wife. He was completely uneasy. He was so confident in our future.

Sidibe reflected deeply and said she wished she had not wasted time fretting about her relationship. Since their March 2019 meeting, she said, her spouse has continuously showed her his love and support. 

Sidibe admitted that if she had realized his exceptional talents sooner, she would have given herself permission to truly embrace that love. She wrote a heartfelt note to her husband in honor of their anniversary, thanking him for encouraging her on her good days and supporting her through her bad. 

Additionally, she sarcastically included a wish for their future together, saying that she would like to have children in their twenties so that playing with them would be easier.

Frankel said he has never been happier as he has been over the last four years.

In response to Sidibe’s touching post, Frankel dutifully declared his love for her, calling her the “love of my life.” He talked about how he had a once-in-a-lifetime connection with her, which made his world a happier place and made his heart sing.
