Antonio Brown raises about $60,000 for a man who was arrested for leaving his kids unsupervised during a job interview at McDonald’s
A GoFundMe has been started by former NFL player Antonio Brown in support of the Georgia parent who was arrested for leaving his kids alone during a job interview.
The 24-year-old Chris Louis, whose tale went viral when he was detained by Augusta authorities for abandoning his three children, ages 1, 6, and 10, in a McDonald’s indoor play area while he went for a job interview, had a fundraising effort launched on Monday by Brown. Many people expressed support for Louis after the arrest and demanded that the charges be dropped.
After reading the story, Brown immediately decided to raise $50,000 for Louis and his family.
“A father merely seeking a means of earning money for his family.” Some people lack the resources to pay for babysitter, etc., but I know he shouldn’t just abandon his children. On the fundraiser website, he stated, “This GoFundMe is set up to help this man.”
Brown offered additional support in a tweet on Wednesday, stating that Louis and his family have been going through difficult times for months.
People occasionally simply require assistance. gratified to assist Chris and his family in achieving stability. The family I spoke with said they have been trying to make it since November but have been homeless. He wrote, “Helping Chris find a job will be the next step.”
