UEFA will investigate Real Madrid players following the Atletico match

European soccer’s governing body announced on Thursday that it has launched an investigation into a potential violation of disciplinary rules by a number of Real Madrid players following their Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

According to UEFA, the investigation is focused on claims of inappropriate behavior by Vinicius Jr., Dani Ceballos, Kylian Mbappe, and Antonio Ruediger.

On March 12, Real celebrated in front of the crowd after winning a penalty shootout to advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.

The behavior of Real’s players during their celebrations prompted Atletico to register a complaint, according to Spanish media, although UEFA did not provide specifics about the instances under examination.

On camera, a number of Real Madrid players were seen dancing and gesturing at the Atletico fans, who retaliated by hurling things from the bleachers.

More details will be released in due time, according to UEFA.
