Redman Describes His Present Connection to Method Man

“Redman Talks About His Close Circle and Method Man Work Dynamic”

Even with his longstanding partner, Method Man, Redman isn’t interested in the rapper hangout lifestyle.

He quickly responded, “Hell no!” when asked if he still does meth during a recent episode of the Julian Dorey Podcast.

“We do shows and we come back home,” he explained, keeping things honest. I don’t spend much time with rappers. This is where I work and where I live. We have a really inclusive movement. After we get off the road, we say, “All right.” You have to take care of your family, and I have things to do. I have a very small circle. Thus, everyone of us leads a unique life. Rappers are not people I hang out with. I may give you a call.

“I’m connected to a lot of MCs,” Red continued. Wu[-Tang Clan] is obviously my crew or something, but there are many more artists with whom we could discuss it over the phone, but no. My boy DoItAll from Lords of the Underground and Treach, if I see him in the neighborhood, are the only artists I hang out with. Kid Capri, too. My big brother is Kid Capri. I visit him frequently and speak with him. However, he isn’t a rapper. He works as a DJ. Among the greatest.

What about a follow-up Blackout! album? Meth has other ideas, but Red is all in.
