Benjamin Kearse Jr., Trina’s husband, was arrested for battery

Rapper Trina’s husband, Benjamin Kearse Jr., was arrested two years ago for allegedly having a violent outburst. The Miami resident, who goes by Swurv, was arrested after an unnamed individual claimed he was the attacker in a punching incident, according to TMZ.

The tabloid states that the complainant was crossing the street in July 2023 when Swurv’s black Dodge Charger suddenly came to a stop, and he swung the car’s trunk. He still claims that when he went to the car to discuss what had transpired with Swurv, he saw Swurv getting hostile.

After allegedly following the man, the former Love And Hip-Hop cast member allegedly got out of the car and repeatedly punched him. The altercation allegedly resulted in the man breaking his nose. Law enforcement reportedly acquired surveillance footage that supported the man’s story, according to TMZ.

After applying for a marriage license the month before, Trina and Swurv were married in May 2024. According to the 46-year-old, they first connected when she saw him at a party and was resolved to grab his number before the evening was over.

Trina revealed that she did not sign a prenuptial agreement when she interviewed Keyshia Ka’Oir, the wife of Gucci Mane, on her All Things Keyshia Ka’oir podcast last year.
