Jeannie Mai’s ex-husband’s latest financial request prolongs their messy, never-ending argument

The conflict between Jeannie Mai and Jeezy after their divorce takes an intriguing new turn!
For the time he spent refuting her mountain of accusations, the musician wants his estranged wife to pay the majority of his legal fees.

The terms of Jeannie Mai and Jeezy’s highly acrimonious divorce settlement were entirely kept secret from the public in June 2024.

Jeezy asked Jeannie Mai for a five-figure settlement.

While their divorce is still pending, Jeezy has leveled grave charges against his ex-wife, Jeannie. She has operated in bad faith, he says, calling her conduct “nefarious.”

The native of South Carolina is now requesting $20,000 from her to pay for the legal bills he says he had to pay because of her “frivolous” charges. After Jeannie accused him of violating their divorce agreement, he filed the motion on March 14.

Jeezy contested Jeannie’s lease agreements involving rent refunds, saying they could not be verified, and denied the contempt charges. She disputed the subpoena he used to try to get information from her bank.

In order to publicly discredit and discredit him, he also accused her of leaking her contempt plea to the media, a strategy he says she has utilized during their divorce.

Despite the fact that both parties are well-known, Jeezy’s attorney has always attempted to settle their differences amicably and discreetly, putting their young child’s welfare first, according to In Touch.

“However, since the filing of this action, [Jeezy] has been forced to defend himself against frivolous claims and the intentional public attempt to dismantle [Jeezy’s] name, brand and reputation continued throughout this case,” said his lawyer.

According to the rapper, his estranged wife is trying to discredit him.

According to Jeezy’s lawyer, Jeannie is caught between two opposing wishes for Jeezy. On the one hand, she is committed to getting every last bit of money out of him.

However, the lawyer pointed out that she wants to damage the rapper’s ability to make money by undermining the reputation he has built up over the years, even before they started dating.

Her complicated motivations and objectives in their current circumstance are eventually influenced by this internal conflict. Jeannie filed the contempt petition “in a concerted effort to negatively inflame the public’s opinion” of him, Jeezy further charged.

Jeezy also refuted claims that he purposefully withheld the titles to some cars, neglected to create an account for their daughter, or failed to make required payments.

He added that he is currently in contact with the insurance company about an incident in which a tree fell on one of the vehicles, a Bronco, causing damage and making it a total loss.

Jeezy argues that he is not in willful contempt of court, and the evidence backs up this assertion. He therefore feels that Jeannie ought to pay him back the $19,839.81 that he owes his attorneys for their work on the contempt case.

The talk show host accused her former partner of preventing her from entering his house.

In order to recover her stuff from her split husband, Jeezy, the former E! star got into a fight with him for access to his home.

According to The Blast, on December 9, 2024, she and movers came at Jeezy’s estate, but his house manager, acting on Jeezy’s directives, refused to let them in. The legal team for the TV celebrity revealed:

“In fact, the house manager called [Jeezy], who again confirmed that [Jeannie] and her movers were not to access her items, disregarding the court order entirely.”

Jeannie’s legal team stressed that her only goal was to make sure Jeezy’s personal belongings were gathered, not to violate her privacy or utilize recording equipment.

Angry at the denial, she called the Atlanta Police Department to record the incident because it seemed to be against a court order. Her attorneys explained that the police were contacted to produce an official report of her denial of entry, not to escalate the issue.

The presence of his estranged wife on his property caused the 47-year-old to feel anxious.

Jeezy voiced worries about his ex-wife being able to enter the building after the incident at his house. Even though the court gave her 21 days to pick up her possessions, Jeezy tried to change this order right away.

He mentioned that he didn’t trust the talk show host, worried that she would violate the terms and cause more problems for his career, as she has in the past.

His attorney highlighted Jeezy’s unease about Jeannie staying at his house and implied that her prior behavior had jeopardized his reputation in the workplace.

The rapper’s lawyer maintained that the TV host’s present emotional state following the divorce drove her to seek retribution, which, if granted entry to Jeezy’s house, would disturb his tranquility and jeopardize his privacy.

During his contentious divorce from Jeannie Mai, Jeezy resigned from his previous management.

The rapper also lost trust in his old representatives after becoming embroiled in a legal battle with them. He claimed that his former team had taken advantage of his success without telling him about his financial condition.

After allegedly being refused access to crucial financial records, Jeezy reportedly became irater with his financial management staff, which was headed by Solomon Fornie and Eddie Bridgeman, in late 2024, according to The Blast.

Their collaboration, which started more than ten years ago, officially changed its name to Agency 99 in order to oversee Jeezy’s income. Bridgeman’s company, The SaiSai Group, was also brought on board to handle financial problems as their partnership developed.

Jeezy’s recent discovery that Bridgeman lacked a CPA license, however, raised more questions regarding their business practices. Jeezy is having trouble officially dissolving his old team’s business, so he filed a lawsuit to force them to produce crucial documentation.

He contended that without this paperwork, he was unable to lawfully adhere to Georgia’s standards for closing or restarting Agency 99.

It seems impossible for Jeezy and Jeannie Mai to break free from this never-ending cycle of court cases.
