“I’m going to beat this sh*t and get next to you,” Sean “Diddy” Combs tells Ye during a jail call
Despite the impending racketeering trial of the Harlem entrepreneur, the beleaguered musicians exchanged words of faith and optimism.
Somehow, a communication between Sean “Diddy” Combs and Ye was released for public consumption during the jailhouse call that was broadcast over the globe. The Harlem businessman believes he will win his criminal trial, according to a video published by The Shade Room. From behind bars, Combs also conveyed gratitude, support, and warnings to the Chicago artist.
In the first clip of the carousel upload, Combs said, “I’ll tell you the real from the front line, this sh*t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful.” “You have to be out there,” Diddy insisted.
Ye responds, “Yes, sir.”
Ye appears to be recording the chat from a different device in his lap in the video, which is shot from his point of view.
“Get behind the mic, have some fun,” Diddy went on. Cut apart the samples. Return to your hitman persona. Enjoy yourself. Return to your smile. These other motherfkers are a waste of your time; fk them. Enjoy yourself and put that love in your heart. I need to see you back on stage, rapping, performing, and all that, because when I go out there, I want to see you fu*king blow stadiums away. I’m having that sht in my dreams.
Ye answers, “It’s time for me to pick up the mic and get back on.” “Music seems to be returning to my heart.”
“We’re going to have years and decades to fight these motherf**kers,” Combs said. Enjoy your life for the now. I am sending this to you on behalf of God.
Later in the call, the conversation turns from Ye to Combs’s present legal predicament.
Ye assured Diddy, “You’re going to beat this sh*t, for sure.”
“I’ll surely be contacting you to get your energy or anything because I have about 59 days left before my trial. Give me some fking life and play me some sht on the phone. This is fking depressing. In prison, I’m Puff Daddy. Combs said, “This sht is fking sad as a motherfker.” “The devil is dishonest.”
The founder of Bad Boy Records went on to commend Ye for his ability to relate to his kids.
“I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you looking after my kids, man. You understand what I mean when I say that no one calls them or reaches out to them. No one… That you reached out to them and took them under your wing meant a lot.
Ye then responds, “Yes, without a doubt. Man, you have my undying love. You understand what I mean when I say that you raised me even if I didn’t know you?
“I’ll get next to you and beat this sh*t.” Combs responds, “We’re going to raise our families and become the kings we’re meant to be.”
Ye’s new single, “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was published last week, and this leaked audio follows suit. North West, his oldest child, Diddy, Christian “King” Combs, Diddy’s son, and Chicago musician Jasmine Williams are all featured on the song.
Combs is still in jail awaiting trial for conspiracy to commit racketeering, sex trafficking by compulsion, deception, or force, and transportation for prostitution. Due to his alleged aggressive actions, the disgraced entrepreneur is also facing dozens of civil cases.
Ye’s latest antisemitic outbursts and wild music takes have also garnered media attention.
