Thuram’s ankle injury causes him to leave the France squad

The French Football Federation announced late Monday that Marcus Thuram, a forward for France, will miss their two-leg Nations League quarterfinal matchup against Croatia because of an ankle injury.

Following Inter Milan’s 4-1 aggregate victory against Feyenoord in the Champions League last 16 last week, the 27-year-old striker, who was included in Didier Deschamp’s 24-man squad, stated that he had been playing with the injury for the previous month.

On Thursday, Split will host the first leg versus Croatia, and on March 23, the Stade de France will host the rematch.
