Wendy Williams’ “Kidnap Claims” are filed by the facility following dinner with a family member

Wendy Williams was “kidnapped” by a family member, according to a police report filed by her assisted care home.

The 60-year-old former talk show presenter accused her niece Alex Finnie of taking her out to dinner illegally on Wednesday night at the Coterie facility in New York, where she says she has been “imprisoned.”

According to TMZ, Finnie was in the city to help her return to the facility after she was sent to Lenox Hill hospital earlier this week for a mental health assessment.

After spending some time together at the memory unit, they went to a city Italian restaurant.

The facility reportedly subsequently called the New York Police Department (NYPD) to report that Finnie “took Wendy out of the building to evade staff.”

The outlet did point out that Williams would have required an attendant to grant her access to the elevator on the fifth level of the hospital, which is the memory unit.

She and her niece were allegedly led to the lobby as the attendant “opened the door” of the Uber that brought them into the city, according to the claims.

“Apparently, police were called when we returned for dinner,” Finnie told TMZ.

The Coterie here was claiming that I had taken my aunt from this institution and taken her away without any kind of clearance or authorization, so I was informed that the police were called at some point.

Wendy, meantime, has asserted that the alleged acts demonstrate her legal guardian is “lying” about the conditions at the facility.

“It is obvious that they are deceiving me by claiming that I am free to do whatever I want,” she continued. Alex is one of my nieces. Hey, she just came in by plane from Miami. We’re celebrating by going out since I just got out of the hospital.

is fighting for the termination of her court-ordered guardianship and has complained about the way she is treated in her assisted living facility in New York City, claiming in an affidavit that she has “regained [the] capacity” to function without her legal guardian.

In a statement to TMZ, Morrisey’s lawyer claimed that she is receiving “excellent medical care” and that the facility features a “spa, a workout room, excellent food, a dining room, and outside terraces.”

The attorney went on to say: “Ms. Williams and her interests are harmed by false statements regarding her condition, the Guardianship, and the protection the Court established for her health and welfare.”

Due to her inability to leave the memory unit on the fifth floor without authorization, Wendy has said she is frequently denied access to some of those benefits.

Despite being hospitalized earlier this week due to worries about her health, she called Fox5 on Tuesday with a friend to provide a positive report following assessments of her mental fitness.

She stated: “I passed with flying colors!” while appearing on “Good Day New York.” I will cosign while Gina goes into further detail.
