Gladys Knight, The FL Show is canceled because I caught a nasty bug

A Gladys Knight representative tells TMZ, she received treatment in Florida after contracting the flu the night before the performance. After being freed overnight, she is now on her way to her North Carolina home to recuperate.

Gladys Knight had to postpone her performance in Florida over the weekend due to catching the illness.

Numa Saisselin, president of the Florida Theatre, broke the bad news just before GK’s Saturday night performance in Jacksonville. He claims that Gladys and one of her employees became ill backstage at the event, necessitating Jacksonville Fire and Rescue’s assistance. He claims that as Knight left the premises, she “was smiling and in good spirits.”

Although they have not yet decided if the concert will be rescheduled, theater authorities stated that they should know by the beginning of next week. “As long as you bought your tickets from the Florida Theatre or FloridaTheatre.com, we would refund your purchase if you are unable to attend a new date,” they stated.
