The World Cup Final in 2026 Will Include a Halftime Performance
Gianni Infantino has stated that there will be a halftime entertainment during the 2026 World Cup final.
FIFA’s president, a 54-year-old football administrator, stated that, similar to the Super Bowl, there will be a performance at the midway point of the tournament when it travels to New Jersey, USA, next year.
In collaboration with Global Citizen, he posted on Instagram: “I can confirm the first ever half-time show at a FIFA World Cup final in New York, New Jersey.” This will be a show worthy of the world’s largest athletic event and a momentous moment for the FIFA World Cup.
“During the final and bronze final matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we also discussed how FIFA will take over Times Square.
“With some of the world’s top players competing in these two amazing matches, there’s no better place to celebrate than New York City’s iconic Times Square.
Global superstars like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Usher have led the Super Bowl in recent years.
Kendrick Lamar performed the modified version of his Drake diss single on the Super Bowl stage earlier this year.
At the conclusion of his performance, the Grammy-winning artist sang “Not Like Us,” but because of the ongoing legal dispute, he chose to remove the song’s most contentious lyrics.
Kendrick’s performance also featured Drake’s diss song “Euphoria,” “Humble,” “DNA,” “Squabble Up,” and “Man At The Garden.”
