Baller Babies! Jayson Tatum of the Celtics appears to have confirmed the birth of a kid with singer Ella Mai

Jayson Tatum enjoys flaunting his affectionate moments with his 7-year-old son, Deuce Tatum, but it appears that he has now acknowledged that he is also a father to a baby.

The singer Ella Mai and the Boston Celtics star haven’t exactly kept their relationship hidden, but they haven’t made their relationship official yet. Following Tatum’s victory at the Olympics in Paris, Mai held up her son in a family portrait with Tatum, Deuce, and other members of his family, providing the first indication that the two fans were dating.

The NBA player is now featured in a new commercial for Amica Insurance, which appears to announce the birth of his baby. “What keeps you going?” was the question posed to the baller during a press conference for the commercial. The commercial next showed him before opening the door for his mother, Brandy Cole, daydreaming about cleaning up baby toys in what looked to be his house.

After joking with his mother while he threw a tiny basketball at a hoop, the NBA player revealed how he learned to shoot. Tatum said, “Grandma really taught me how to shoot, anyway.” An infant’s cries over the baby monitor cut off the two’s conversation, seemingly confirming that he is the father of Mai’s child, which she discreetly welcomed last year.

According to Page Six, Mai and Tatum welcomed their first child together in August 2024. Although the couple has not discussed their kid in public, Tatum has alluded to the baby’s name while playing in the NBA by writing the names “Deuce” and “Dylan” on his sneakers, ostensibly in remembrance of both of his boys.

Fans were unaware that Ella Mai was expecting her first child until June 2024, when she showed off her growing baby belly while celebrating Tatum’s victory in the NBA Finals.

The singer was spotted sitting courtside at one of his basketball games in 2019, which was the first time the couple was connected. They have been silent about their relationship, but in July 2022 they appeared in public for the first time at Michael Rubin’s yearly Fourth of July White Party in the Hamptons.
