Report: Jaire Alexander, the Packers’ standout CB, could be traded

According to a report by NFL Network on Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers have engaged in trade negotiations with standout cornerback Jaire Alexander.

When questioned about the Packers’ plans for Alexander in 2025, general manager Brian Gutekunst gave a mute comment, which was followed by the report the next day.

Gutekunst stated on Tuesday, “We’re working through that, we’ll see.” “We’ll work through that as we go along.”

With two years left on his current deal, Alexander has only played in seven games in each of the previous two seasons. His knee was operated on following this most recent campaign.

The 28-year-old Alexander finished seven games in 2024 with 16 tackles, two interceptions (one of which was recovered for a touchdown), and one forced fumble.

Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowler, has played in 78 games (76 starts) since the Packers picked him with the 18th overall choice in the 2018 NFL Draft, recording 287 tackles and 12 interceptions.
