U20: According to Kaseja, Tanzania drew fairly and well

Juma Kaseja, the head coach of Tanzania’s U-20 national team, has urged his young charges to compete for the honor of representing Tanzania in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2025, which is just a few months away.

13 countries, including Tanzania, will compete for the continental title of African champions in the competition’s 24th edition, which will take place in Cote d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18, 2025.

Another reason to watch the Cote d’Ivoire finals is that they will qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Chile later this year.

When the tournament begins in less than two months, Kaseja, who just hung up his gloves after playing goalkeeping for several Tanzanian teams, notably Young Africans and Simba SC, has urged his team to give it their best for their country.

“The draw was open, fair, and of high quality. Our group depends on fierce rivalry, and because we need to do better in the event, we must start preparing early. Tanzania has a possibility to succeed; the league competition and the presence of players from other countries give us confidence. We must all work together to secure the chance to represent Tanzania,” he said.

Tanzania is making their second appearance in the finals this year after making their debut in Mauritania in 2021, when their campaign ended in the group stages.
