Lady Gaga says she is working on a sequel to her 2010 hit song “Telephone”
According to Lady Gaga, a “Telephone” sequel is imminent.
In 2010, the 38-year-old pop artist collaborated with Beyonce on the song from her EP “The Fame Monster.” Although the music video ended with the teaser, “To be continued…,” Gaga has just recently hinted that something more is in the works.
She said, “Yes,” when asked if a follow-up was imminent during an appearance on Vanity Fair’s “Lie Detector” series.
The “Poker Face” hitmaker, however, seemed reticent to reveal many more specifics, such as whether the “Crazy in Love” singer would be accompanying her this time.
She said, “Maybe,” when asked whether Beyonce would be participating.
Gaga also affirmed that schedule issues were not impeding the project’s progress when asked whether they were.
In the music video, Beyonce shows up to save Lady Gaga, who is imprisoned for killing her fiancé, before the two of them go on a murderous rampage at a diner.
“Hello, hello, baby, you called I can’t hear a thing…” is the first lyric of the song, which Gaga originally wrote for Britney Spears before she rejected it. and the Grammy Award winner said there was a possibility when asked if she had ever answered the phone in that manner in real life.
“I think I may have done that before, but maybe not,” she remarked. I’m terrible at this. I just replied, “Yes, maybe, and no.”
Gaga joked that it was “good to know” when a crew member said the lie detector verified she was telling the truth in that first response.
