Kane for Bayern sustains a calf injury

Harry Kane, a striker for Bayern Munich, will miss a few days of practice due to a minor calf injury, the Bundesliga team announced on Wednesday.

Ahead of Tuesday’s 1-1 Champions League home match with Celtic, the 31-year-old suffered the injury that resulted in internal bleeding.

“I’m not sure if I can play against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday,” Kane stated following Bayern’s 3-2 aggregate victory over Celtic. He also mentioned that he had a slight jaw injury from a collision during the draw at Bayer Leverkusen the previous weekend.

Bayern leads the Bundesliga by eight points and has advanced to the Champions League round of 16.
