On December 28, 2024, Mbosso participated in a health screening drive at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI), located in Dar es Salaam.
“I had the chance to take part in the heart health testing exercise at the Jakaya Kikwete Heart Institute (JKCI) Kawe in Dar Es Salaam on the 28th of the 12th month of 2024. In order to raise community awareness of the value of heart health monitoring and the prevention of avoidable diseases, the Honorable President @samia_suluhu_hassan arranged this exercise in cooperation with the JKCI Institute, @basata.tanzania, and @tanzania_film_board.”
It was found that the singer had a congenital cardiac issue that affected his heart’s electrical impulses.
At first, Mbosso had been led to believe that he could only receive this kind of care abroad.
It was found through this workout that I was born with a cardiac condition. According to professionals, it was an electrical issue with my heart, and the JKCI Institute, working with Basata, assured me that they would help me fully recover. “Blessings, blessings!” he said gratefully.
Mboso had a successful one-hour operation thanks to Tanzanian and Egyptian cardiologists.
“I had a lot of anxiety the day before yesterday since I had twelve hours left until the end of twenty-four, but it also brought me, my family, and all of my music lovers happiness and eternal serenity. In a single hour, I got the chance to receive treatment from the most skilled cardiac specialists in Egypt (Egypt 🇪🇬) in addition to Tanzanian physicians.
Mbosso is recovering at home after being released from the hospital.
The artist thanked President Samia Suluhu Hassan for funding regional healthcare programs that enabled his medical care.
“My mother @samia_suluhu_hassan, Mr. President of Tanzania, may my heartfelt appreciation find you wherever you are. Mom, thank you so lot! Until I visit India, the opportunities I was told would not be feasible under your administration. Mom, thank you so lot! Now that your young guy is well, I swear to stay by your side, village by village, district by district, to make sure I recognize the positive effects of your work performance.”
In order to increase public awareness of the value of heart health and preventative care, President Samia led the project in cooperation with JKCI, the Tanzania Film Board, and the National Arts Council of Tanzania (BASATA).
