Njerae’s New EP “Four Letter Word” Spreads Love on Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, Afro-Indie and soul singer Njerae launched her much awaited EP, Four Letter Word.

According to Njerae, this unique release offers fans heartfelt songs to add to their Valentine’s Day playlists, perfectly complementing the month of love. The release of the EP follows Njerae’s selection as a representative of Kenya and East Africa in Apple Music’s esteemed Africa Rising Stars Class of 2025.

Four Letter Word explores the intricacies of love, encapsulating the unfiltered feelings that accompany partnerships. Fight for You, produced by Wondamagik, Beg for It, produced by Kobby Worldwide, Decide, produced by Vic West, and Hypnotize are the four tracks that make up the EP. With the release of Beg for It on January 17th, Njerae offered fans a preview of what was to come. The song swiftly gained popularity as a sing-along and peaked at #36 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Kenya chart. Audiences have been passionately moving to the song throughout her live appearances, making it a crowd-pleaser.

Known as the “Queen of Love,” Njerae never stops creating music that appeals to romantics, lovers, and even people going through a difficult time.

Njerae says, “I wanted to produce a body of work that depicts all aspects of love, from obsession and connection to passion and desire.”

She returns to her musical origins with the EP. According to Njerae, Four Letter Word integrates those creative teachings with her own approach, even though her 2024 project Out with the Old demonstrated her artistic exploration. Her work with producers Vic West, Kobby Worldwide, and Wondamagik has resulted in a sophisticated sound.

The goal of this effort is to rediscover who I am. I’m combining the best aspects of my original style with what I’ve learnt from previous projects,” Njerae says.

Njerae’s first release of 2025 is Four Letter Word, but fans may expect more. Along with the EP, she released the much awaited Beg for It music video on Valentine’s Day.
