Havertz of Arsenal will have surgery following a hamstring injury that ends his season

The Premier League team announced on Thursday that Kai Havertz, a forward for Arsenal, will have surgery and miss the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury sustained during training.

“At a training session in Dubai last week, Kai Havertz suffered a hamstring injury,” Arsenal said in a statement.

The damage will need surgery, which will happen in the next few days, according to expert reviews and follow-up evaluations.

“Soon after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation program, which is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season.”

With 15 goals in all competitions this season, the 25-year-old is the team’s leading scorer. He joins a long list of Arsenal attackers who are now sidelined due to injury, including Gabriel Jesus (anterior cruciate ligament), Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli (both hamstring).
