Emery claims that Rashford, a Man Utd loanee, still has a lot of promise

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, stated on Friday that he is just concerned with maximizing the England forward’s potential over the next months and is not interested in the reasons Marcus Rashford was left off of the Manchester United roster.

Due to concerns about Rashford’s work rate, the new United manager Ruben Amorim dismissed him last month and repeatedly refused to choose him, stating that he would rather have a player on the bench than one who wasn’t giving it their all.

After finally looking for a transfer away for increased playing time, Rashford, a product of the United system, secured a loan deal with Villa that lasted until the conclusion of the season.

“I’m thrilled with him. Before Sunday’s FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur, Emery told reporters, “The conversation I had with him was a very normal conversation between a player and a coach, speaking about football.”

“I just want him to play the greatest football possible. He still has a great deal of promise and ability to be used. I’m glad to have him here, but I don’t want to know why he’s leaving Manchester (United).

“I am delighted to make an effort to assist him in regaining both his individual and group performances. I have a really difficult task ahead of me with him. His challenge to us is a very thrilling one.

Liverpool eliminated Spurs from the League Cup semi-finals on Thursday, and the North London team is currently in 14th place in the Premier League. Spurs are at a low ebb.

However, after Ange Postecoglou’s team crushed Villa 4-1 in November, Emery is not taking them lightly.

“I have a great deal of respect for Tottenham.” Emery stated, “They have a very good team, but they have some injured players and some doubts in the league.”

“The coach shown his ability to play excellent football both last year and at times this year. Their performance was outstanding, and we lost the league match 4-1.

“I’m waiting for them on Sunday, anticipating their finest performance. We saw the game yesterday, and we’ll be analyzing both that game and the one they played earlier.”
