Dolly Parton Joins Sabrina Carpenter’s Studio for the Deluxe Edition of Short n’ Sweet
Dolly Parton and Sabrina Carpenter collaborated on a fresh rendition of “Please Please Please” for the forthcoming deluxe edition of “Short n’ Sweet.”
The 25-year-old pop sensation will give fans an extended version of the album on Valentine’s Day, which will feature none other than Dolly, 79, the country music icon, in honor of winning two Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album for the critically acclaimed 2024 album and Best Pop Solo Performance for the mega-hit song “Espresso.”
“As a thank you for giving this album two Grammys, the short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre-order,” Sabrina posted on Instagram.
“And it does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton,” the speaker said.
“She [Dolly] wouldn’t want me to swear but holy s***!!!!!” was the next joke from Sabrina.
“15 Minutes,” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews” are some of the other new songs.
Sabrina was surprised to get her Best Pop Vocal Album award on Sunday in Los Angeles, surpassing “some of [her] favorite artists in the world.”
Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine,” and Chappell Roan’s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” all posed a serious threat to her.
“Hello,” she said. I truly wasn’t expecting this because I’m still breathless from the performance.
“Some of my favorite artists in the world are all of those nominees on the screen.” Wow, I’m going to cry because this is my first Grammy. To ensure I wouldn’t forget, I put names on this napkin.
“Thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and everyone else here today. It’s fortunate to be able to get together and do something so unique and lovely and celebrate music in recognition of all that’s transpired.
“I want to express my gratitude to my followers for allowing the Recording Academy to hear my song. In addition to my parents and sisters, I would want to thank my mom for always driving me to vocal lessons. I would want to thank Ireland Records, my team.
“What the devil? Thank you; “Short and Sweet” means the world to me, and this is really unique.
“Thank you to all of the writers and producers that contributed to this record. You have no clue how much this CD means to me or how much I love you all.
