Trump Threatens 100% Tariffs and Warns BRICS Against Dollar Replacement

President Trump has threatened the BRICS countries with dire economic repercussions if they try to replace the US dollar.

President Donald Trump has warned the BRICS nations not to try to overtake the US dollar as the world’s most important currency. On countries that support alternative currencies, he has threatened to levy 100% tariffs.

“The notion that the BRICS nations are attempting to shift away from the dollar, while we watch and listen, is over,” Trump said in his remarks.

He underlined that the United States would require these nations to pledge not to launch a BRICS currency or back any alternative to the US dollar. He threatened to impose punitive tariffs and terminate access to the US economy if noncompliance occurred.

Additionally, Trump said, “They can go find another sucker nation.” The US dollar will never be replaced by BRICS in international commerce or anyplace else, and any government that attempts to do so should bid America farewell and welcome tariffs.

This action is part of an increasing push by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) to look at alternatives to the US dollar in international finance and trade.
