Manchester City is not the UCL favorites, according to Pep Guardiola
With a tense 3-1 victory over Club Bruges to finish off a wild season, Manchester City guaranteed their spot in the Champions League play-offs.
To the relief of its supporters and manager, Pep Guardiola’s team was able to turn things around after falling behind 1-0 at halftime and perhaps losing. The Sun claims that Guardiola, who has had a difficult time both on and off the field, once again showed up with face injuries that he had self-inflicted out of frustration during the game, demonstrating the emotional toll.
Guardiola was brutally honest about City’s chances in the competition, even after the team qualified. “We are not favorites to win at the moment,” he said in an interview with Canal+. We lack the experience that Madrid and Bayern have.

He acknowledged the difficult road ahead but expressed hope that his team would get better before the knockout stages. “It would be challenging if we had to play tomorrow, but who knows in two weeks?” City still has a lot to prove if they hope to regain their European glory, according to this infrequent moment of hesitancy from the Spanish tactician.
