Ancelotti claims that Real Madrid knows how to win without Vinicius

For the second straight La Liga match, Real Madrid will be without striker Vinicius Jr. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti stated on Friday that despite the Brazilian international’s importance, the club knows how to win without him.

Vinicius will not play against Real Valladolid on Saturday after missing Real’s 4-1 victory over Las Palmas at home last weekend. He was given a two-game suspension following his red card against Valencia.

“They (people) have forgotten that without Vini we have won two Champions Leagues, he is an undisputed player,” Ancelotti stated to reporters.

“The player is the same as always, it’s good for him to have some days of recovery… to take advantage of and be fresher at the most important moment of the season.”

During the January transfer window, Vinicius was linked to a move away, but Ancelotti stated that the 24-year-old is happy at the La Liga team and wants to stay.

Since I know the guy personally, I find it challenging since he is content here and wants to create history at Real Madrid. The 65-year-old boss remarked, “We want to make history and we are happy here.”

According to claims in Spanish media, Vinicius has been offered more than $550 million to move to Saudi Arabia.

“I’m not sure if this offer will come through, so you’ll have to ask him. He wants to keep doing this because he is creating history here,” Ancelotti continued.

Despite having a full schedule—they have played seven games in all competitions since January 1st—Real Madrid has maintained their lead in the La Liga standings with 46 points from 20 games.

“We give the match the importance it deserves, we have to keep the lead and field the best team possible,” Ancelotti stated prior to their matchup with Valladolid, who are now in last place.

Indeed, the timetable is rigorous, but we are gradually settling into the proper pace. We have taken the lead, and we must continue to do so. The goal is obvious.”

Aurelien Tchouameni, who hurt his left ankle during a Champions League play against AC Milan in November of last year, will be in the team, according to the Italian boss, while midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will miss Saturday’s match.
