Mackinlay of Kenya Wants To Create History With A 24-Hour Trumpet Performance
With a 24-hour nonstop concert, renowned trumpeter and producer Mackinlay is poised to create history by attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous trumpet performance.
After his remarkable 12-hour performance at the same location on October 12, 2024, this remarkable event will begin at 10:00 PM on January 31, 2025, at Geco Café in Nairobi.
In keeping with the idea of Kenyan marathon hero Eliud Kipchoge, Mackinlay’s attempt aims to inspire audiences around the world with the slogan, “No human is limited.” This endeavor, according to Mackinlay, is a voyage of self-discovery, evidence of human potential, and a chance to encourage artists to push limits.
With the help of gifted musicians, a demanding fitness regimen, and meticulous planning to guarantee both musical and physical endurance, the record-breaking attempt has been in the works for six months.
