Tyra Banks said that wildfires in California destroyed her home

Tyra Banks sobbed when she learned that the California wildfires had destroyed her house.

She was at a party with friends in Australia when the supermodel-turned-TV personality checked her phone and saw that the property she lives with her partner, Louis Belanger-Martin, in Los Angeles, was on fire. She kept the news a secret until the couple left the party.

When Tyra appeared on the Australian television program Sunrise, she clarified: “I lost my house. Well, I haven’t actually discussed it, but I have. The reason I haven’t talked about it is that I didn’t want to draw too much attention to myself since I believe there are many individuals who deserve it.

However, I cannot sit here and remain silent. that we did really lose our home.

As she continued, the host of “America’s Next Top Model” described how she learned that her house had been destroyed, saying: “I was here [in Australia] … I kept checking my phone while we were partying and having a good time at a friend’s house to make sure my friends and family were fleeing, not for my house.

I asked my partner after that. When I mentioned, “I’m seeing something on my phone here,” he Nods. I merely managed to gather myself, remained silent around my pals, and simply remained there.

“After we got home, we sobbed and had our moment.”
Since January 7, the flames have been burning over southern California, destroying hundreds of structures and taking at least 27 lives.

Mel Gibson, Billy Crystal, and Paris Hilton are among the numerous celebrities who have lost their houses. Hilton has started an online campaign to collect money for those impacted by the tragedy.

The FireAid event, which will raise additional funds to support people in need, will bring together well-known figures from the music business later this month.

On January 30, the performance will be held in the Inuit Dome and Kia Forum in Los Angeles. No Doubt, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry, and Sting will be among the performers, along with Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Wonder.

Described as a “evening of music and solidarity,” the event will generate much-needed money to support communities that have been ravaged by the fires. It will be played in several US movie theaters and streamed on platforms including YouTube, SiriusXM, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, Apple Music, Apple TV, iHeartRadio, and more.

All event-related costs will be covered by the LA Clippers, allowing the revenues to be used toward community reconstruction and the investigation of preventative strategies to help stop similar tragedies.
