Bebe Cool’s “Circumference” music video was filmed in South Africa
Legendary Ugandan musician Bebe Cool has unveiled the music video for his most recent track, “Circumference.” This song is the lead single off his next album “Break The Chains,” which is scheduled for release in April 2025. Under the direction of Garrick Williams, the South African-shot music video offers a creative and symbolic trip that exquisitely echoes the song’s themes.
As a homeless guy, Bebe Cool wanders over a barren terrain at dusk in the opening scene of the “Circumference” video, which evokes feelings of reflection and loneliness. Finding a view-master, which immerses him in a surreal universe full of ethereal ladies in white, gives this lonely voyage an unexpected twist. Garrick’s directing creates a simple yet impactful visual experience.
“With the release of the Circumference video, a new chapter in my musical journey begins,” Bebe Cool said, expressing his excitement about the video’s release and his future endeavors. Giving this visual masterpiece to my followers and the globe makes me pleased.
“Circumference” signals the arrival of “Break the Chains,” Bebe Cool’s much awaited album that promises to dabble in new musical genres and mark his first live appearance since 2018. Bebe Cool’s dedication to enhancing his craft and pushing the limits of music videos is further demonstrated by the video, which debuted on MTV Base and has already garnered a lot of attention.
According to Bebe Cool, 2025 will be a historic year for her because of her album “Break the Chains,” which showcases her growth as a performer and pushes the limits of what African music is capable of. I am so excited for everyone to hear this album and the stories it conveys in its entirety.
After making the audacious decision to relocate to Nairobi in 1997, Bebe Cool rapidly rose to prominence as one of the first musicians to sign with Ogopa Deejays, a trailblazing record company in the East African music industry. During the early 2000s, Bebe’s enticing voice and sometimes divisive performances greatly boosted the social scene and helped develop Uganda’s current vibe. Together with Wyre and Nazizi, he formed the award-winning East African Bashment Crew in 2004 with the Kenyan hip-hop and reggae group Necessary Noize. Hits from their debut album “Fire,” including “Africa Unite,” “Kube,” “This Tune,” and “Fire Anthem,” helped the ensemble gain continental popularity. Bebe Cool’s career is still developing, and his reputation as a trailblazing performer is still deeply ingrained in Ugandan and African music culture.
