Valencia will host Barcelona, while Real Madrid will play Leganes in the cup quarterfinals

In the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, Real Madrid will play their local rivals, the lowly Leganes, while Barcelona will travel to Valencia after Monday’s draw.

Another Spanish city derby will be played between Atletico Madrid and Getafe, while Real Sociedad will play Osasuna, a Basque team. The dates of the matches are February 4–6.

A Clasico between longtime rivals Real and Barcelona in the cup final, which hasn’t occurred in more than ten years, is still possible after the draw.

In their 18 meetings in the Copa del Rey final, Real has defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the 2014 final in Valencia, and Real leads the rivalry with 11 victories over seven Catalans.

In their two meetings this season, Barcelona has defeated Real Madrid, winning 4-0 at Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga in October and 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia last week.

With 46 points, Real Madrid leads the La Liga standings by two points over Atletico Madrid, who are in second place. Barcelona is seven points behind Real.
