Chrissy Teigen Demands a Social Media Curfew

Chrissy Teigen has demanded a curfew on social media.

Because “life was awesome” before Facebook and TikTok emerged, the model, who is married to musician John Legend, believes that Instagram should be shut down between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. to give everyone a rest.

“I personally believe that one day there will be the most amazing rule, my first rule would be — I think the government or some kind of ethics committee, somebody, should shut off social media between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.,” she said in an Instagram Stories account post.

Give it all up. Everyone is free to do anything they want, but only from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Close it. Completed.”

“I come from the days where we had nothing and then we saw something,” Chrissy continued. It was a fantastic life, guys. Life was wonderful before this.

Although it’s difficult to see right now, it is possible. It’s quite possible. Our lives do not have to be like this. Since I’m on here doing this right now, of course, I also say this for myself! However, it doesn’t have to be our entire existence or define us.

Chrissy’s tweet follows TikTok’s removal from the US on Saturday night (18.01.25), when lawmakers in the US ordered ByteDance, the platform’s Chinese owners, to sell the company or risk a blackout in the US.

US President-elect Donald Trump, however, has now granted the platform a respite and promised to collaborate with the corporation to find a solution once he formally becomes office on Monday.

In accordance with our service providers, TikTok is now working to restore service, according to a statement that was posted on X.

“We are grateful to President Trump for giving our service providers the clarity and comfort they need to know that they won’t be penalized for giving TikTok to more than 170 million Americans and enabling the success of more than 7 million small businesses.

It is a resolute defense of the First Amendment and an opposition to capricious censorship. We will collaborate with President Trump to find a sustainable solution that maintains TikTok in the US.
