Calvo Mistari and Naiboi’s New “Rudisha” Collaboration Revives the Music Scene

Renowned Kenyan rappers Calvo Mistari and Naiboi have returned to their best with their most recent hit, “Rudisha,” which they co-wrote with Bobby Mapesa and Zzero Sufuri. Produced by well-known Kenyan music producer Dillie, “Rudisha” is the ideal fusion of hip hop and Kenyan pop. It’s the ideal way to get the party started and captures the unique vibe of Kenya’s 254 party scene. 

Calvo Mistari talked on the partnership and that he was impressed by his colleagues. “My Bobby and I have been working together for a while, and since we clicked, we have cultivated a true fraternal bond that makes our tasks a breeze. I ran into Zzero in the studio, so that was a novel experience. When Dillie played the music he was feeling, he dropped a verse. Bobby immediately jumped on it after learning about it as well. 

Although Calvo Mistari and Naiobi have reunited with their devoted fan base thanks to the new song, Naiboi believes it’s their way of leading the way and honoring Nairobi’s up-and-coming musicians. “This is a perfect start,” he says, adding, “I always wanted to connect with younger artists at home and merge my sound with theirs.” 

An eye-catching music video that complements the beat and flow of the song is released with it. It skillfully combines Zzero Sufuri’s own style and modern flare with the seasoned knowledge of Calvo Mistari, Naiboi, and Bobby Mapesa. Team Mistari and Callivan Creatives are the producers of the video. Together with Calvo Mistari and Naiboi’s artistic vision, they collaborated with VJ One as a director, and his skill as a filmmaker produced a visual masterpiece that goes well with the song. They push the boundaries of their craft with this new year song, which launches a new chapter in their music career after their final collaboration in 2021.
