Bruce Melodie, a Rwandan superstar, released his much awaited first album, “Colorful Generation,” on S-Curve Records today. It is accessible for streaming anywhere in the world. Bruce’s already remarkable career reaches a major turning point with the album, which highlights his wide range of musical inspirations and solidifies his status as one of Africa’s and East Africa’s biggest talents.

Bruce Melodie said, “This album is for the new generation—Gen Z, Gen Alpha,” before to the album’s release, expressing his delight about it. It demonstrates that being perceived as different is OK. This album embraces the narratives and melodies of songs while describing our hardships, joys, and viewpoints on a range of topics.

Bruce Melodie has released his most recent album along with its lead track, “Beauty on Fire,” a riveting duet with Joeboy, the Afro-pop phenomenon from Nigeria. The song video, which was directed by J. Chretien Munezero and Bahali Ruth, portrays a gripping tale of a lover who, in spite of obstacles, never gives up on their companion. Her fierce beauty always comes out in the end. The song celebrates love and beauty—the exact qualities that fans appreciate about Bruce and Joeboy’s genius—by fusing catchy Afropop beats with genuine passion.

The 21-track CD Colorful Generation, which highlights Bruce Melodie’s wide spectrum of musical styles, skillfully combines Afropop, Amapiano, and R&B. Bruce’s versatility and global appeal are demonstrated by the outstanding song “When She’s Around (Funga Macho),” a bonus duet with Grammy-winning Jamaican reggae artist Shaggy.

The CD also includes a wide range of fascinating collaborations with leading African musicians, such as Kenyan hitmakers Bien and Bensoul and South African chart-topping duo Blaq Diamond. “Niki Minaji,” a popular song with Blaq Diamond that swept the continent, is one of the album’s standout tunes. Its contagious Amapiano rhythms are still popular throughout Africa and beyond.

The album’s first song, “Iyo Foto,” featuring pop sensation Bien of Sauti Sol—who was just crowned Kenya’s most downloaded artist on Spotify in 2024—is another noteworthy standout. In just three months, the song has accumulated over 100 million views on TikTok, reaching the top of East African charts and enhancing Bruce Melodie’s already rising prominence in the music industry.
