Ole Gunnar Solskjær has taken on a new job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has returned to teaching. The Norwegian has been formally named head coach of Besiktas after being almost two years without a coaching job after leaving Manchester United in November 2021.

The 50-year-old tactician’s thrilling new chapter began when the Turkish club shared the announcement on their social media site, X.

It is an important duty for Solskjær. The bitter rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, who presently hold the first two slots in the Turkish Super Lig, have overtaken Besiktas, who are currently in sixth place.

The goal of the former Molde manager is to revitalize the 16-time Turkish champions, putting them back in the running for the championship and securing their place among the top teams in the nation.
