Actress Jessica Alba Speaks Out After Her Divorce

Cash Warren will always be the object of Jessica Alba’s “love, kindness, and respect.”

After it was announced last week that the 43-year-old actress and 45-year-old film producer Cash were divorcing, Jessica broke her silence on social media on Thursday. The couple has been married since 2008.

“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash – for years,” she posted on Instagram. I’m happy of the progress we’ve made as a couple over the last 20 years, and it’s time for us to start a new phase of personal development.

“We will always be family and are going forward with love, kindness, and respect for one another!”

They are supposed to “remain close,” according to a report made only hours before the post arrived.

“It appears that they will stay close regardless of what is happening at the moment,” a source told PEOPLE.

“It’s not some terrible drama if they’re filing for divorce. They still appear content together.

However, Jessica has stated over the years that maintaining the spark is difficult.

The couple, who have a seven-year-old boy named Hayes and daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, are “about to call it quits with a divorce filing,” according to insiders who spoke to TMZ last week.

Additionally, it was believed that the couple had just “recently separated,” although it is “unclear” what caused them to reach this point.

In recent weeks, Jessica and Cash have both been seen without their wedding bands. Earlier this month, the “Dark Angel” actress went to a pre-Golden Globes dinner at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood sans Cash.

The last time the two were spotted together in public was at a basketball game in November.

They first crossed paths on the set of “Fantastic Four” in 2004, when Cash was working as a director’s assistant and Jessica was playing Sue Storm in the Marvel film.
