Paris Hilton has raised $800k to support relief efforts for the wildfire in Los Angeles
Paris Hilton has collected $800,000 in only 72 hours for relief efforts in Los Angeles.
In the devastating infernos that have swept through Southern California and killed 25 people, the billionaire hotel heiress’ Malibu beach house was one of the structures destroyed. She has received praise for raising the astounding amount to aid wildlife and those affected by the wildfires through her non-profit, 11:11 Media Impact.
One hundred fifty percent of the funds will be donated to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund, and 150 Altadena families will get financial aid to help them rebuild their lives.
On her Instagram Story, she wrote: “Cash assistance gives dignity and choice.”
When it comes to clothing, housing, or medication, families are the ones who know what they need most. We’re working together to assist families recover at this terrible period and rebuild on their own terms.
Paris has been contributing financially, volunteering for the charitable organization Baby2Baby, and has fostered a puppy named Zuzu after he was brought to the Pasadena Humane Society during the Eaton Fire.
Paris admitted to seeing her own house burn down on television.
After visiting the burned-out remnants of her Malibu home, Paris said that her “heart shattered into a million pieces.”
In addition to being thankful that she and her husband Carter Reum and their two kids were unharmed, the DJ expressed her sadness at losing her cherished family home.
She said, “I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” in an Instagram post.
“When I initially saw the news, I was unable to grasp it and was in total astonishment. I feel as like my heart has broken into a million pieces, though, as I stand here and see it firsthand.
In 2021, the 43-year-old celebrity paid $8.4 million for the property. She shared a video of the burning remnants of her home along with the caption, “This house wasn’t just a place to live – it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.”
Every nook was brimming with love and vitality, and [son] Phoenix’s little hands created works of art that I will always treasure. It is unimaginably sad to witness it turned to ashes.
I’m even more devastated to realize that this isn’t just my tale. For so many, everything has been gone. It’s the memories that gave those houses their identity, not simply the walls and roofs. It’s the memories, the photographs, the priceless fragments of our existence.
Paris continued, saying, “But even in this suffering, I realize how fortunate I am. My pets, my children, and my loved ones are all protected. The most crucial thing is that, and I’m doing all in my power to cling onto that thankfulness.
And a huge thank you to all of the volunteers, first responders, and firefighters who put their lives in danger to put out these fires.
Along with vowing to “rebuild,” Paris also thanked all of her followers for their “love, prayers, and kindness.”
