Tom Holland will play the lead role in the adaptation of John Grisham’s “The Partner”

“The Partner” will be produced and starred by Tom Holland.

Based on John Grisham’s 1997 best-selling novel, which screenwriter Graham Moore is adapting for the big screen, the “Spider-Man” actor has been cast in the film.

Patrick Lanigan, a young partner in a law firm, is the main character in “The Partner.” He pretends to die in a burning automobile.

He seems to have left behind a wife, a newborn daughter, and a secret, but in reality, he has stolen $90 million from a client at his corrupt legal company and staged his death to establish a model for a new life.

Lanigan finds love and happiness in South America, but he is determined to find the lawyer he doesn’t think is dead after the client who worked so hard to mislead the authorities discovers that the money is gone from his offshore accounts.

This implies that Lanigan must surrender to the FBI and confront his wife, child, and the life he left behind.

A Time to Kill (1996), starring Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, and Matthew McConaughey, and The Rainmaker (1997), starring Matt Damon and Claire Danes, are two of Grisham’s books that have already been made into films.

Tom, who is said to be engaged to his fiancée Zendaya, plans to give up acting once he has children since he will enjoy spending time with them and playing golf occasionally.

“You won’t see me in movies anymore once I have kids,” the 28-year-old actor stated.

Dad and golf. I shall simply vanish off the face of the planet.

In 2024, the “Uncharted” star took a year-long hiatus because he “needed” a vacation from his job.

“It was just something I needed to do,” he clarified. Since I was eleven, I had been acting completely out.

Tom has dazzled audiences with his acrobatics in three Spider-Man films, but he acknowledged that he is not sure how long he can continue performing flips after injuring himself when one of his younger relatives asked him to do so.

“I went outside and I was getting ready and I was thinking, I can do this,” he recounted. This is definitely something I can do. This is something I’ve done countless of times. When Z arrived, she asked, “Are you certain you can still do this?”

When performing a backflip, it’s all about extending up as much as you can and then tucking, so even though I did land it, I pulled every muscle in my stomach. I was unable to laugh for weeks due to stomach pain.

Tom doesn’t think he will ever be as fit as he was when he was eleven years old and playing the lead in the theatrical production of “Billy Elliot.”

“The show was extremely taxing on the body,” he remarked. Right now, I couldn’t do it. My 11-year-old self would destroy me in a fitness competition today.
