Paris Hilton Returned to the Charred Remains of Her Malibu Beach House

Paris Hilton acknowledged that her “heart has shattered into a million pieces” after visiting the burned-out remnants of her Malibu beach property.

The hotel heiress previously disclosed that she had seen her house burn to the ground on television as wildfires raged through southern California. She has since returned to the property to assess the damage, saying she is devastated to have lost her cherished family home but is thankful to be safe with her husband Carter Reum and their two kids.

“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

“I was completely stunned and unable to comprehend the news when I first saw it. However, it feels like my heart has broken into a million pieces as I stand here and witness it firsthand.

“This house wasn’t just a place to live – it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family,” Paris, who purchased the property for $8.4 million in 2021, wrote alongside a video of the smoking remnants of her home.

It was a place full of love and life, where [son] Phoenix’s little hands created works of art that I will always treasure. It is beyond words how sad it is to witness it reduced to ashes.

Knowing that this is not just my story makes my heart ache even more. Numerous individuals have lost everything. The memories that made those houses homes are more important than the walls and roofs. It’s the pictures, the mementos, the priceless fragments of our existence.

“And yet, in this pain, I know I’m incredibly lucky,” Paris continued. My infants, my pets, and my loved ones are all safe. That’s what matters most, and I’m doing all in my power to hang onto that thankfulness.

“And a huge thank you to all of the firefighters, emergency personnel, and volunteers who put their lives in danger to put out these fires.”

Paris also promised to “rebuild” and thanked all of her supporters for their “love, prayers, and kindness.”

She wrote: “To everyone who has shown me kindness, love, and prayers, you have reminded me that beauty exists in this world even in the ashes.”

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. And to everyone experiencing this suffering, know that you are not alone. Together, we are in this.

“We’ll recover, rebuild, and come out stronger than before.

Let this serve as a reminder to cherish the people you care about. Savor the moments. Our shared affection is what really counts because life can change in an instant. Everyone who is suffering right now has my undying affection.
