R&B Artist SZA Considers Giving Up Her Career to Become a Farmer

SZA wants to become a farmer and give up music.

The “Saturn” hitmaker has hinted that she would release two albums of “peaceful children’s music” to fulfill her commitments to her record label before removing herself from the spotlight to live a more subdued life.

She reflected on X: “I think I just want to make peaceful children’s music and get out of here in order to fulfill the requirements for my last two albums.” After that, start your own farm and give the produce to underprivileged areas.

SZA released “Lana,” a deluxe edition of her 2022 LP “SOS,” this month. The album features 23 tracks, plus an additional 15 tracks.

However, she soon said that she had made the decision to “add stuff” during Christmas.

On December 24, SZA, whose real name is Solána Rowe, wrote on X: “I’m switching out certain mixes when I add items on Christmas after listening with a clear head, lol. I had to say something for myself, even though it has no meaning for you. You never know what you might observe.

SZA then informed fans a few days ago that “all updated mixes” and “new songs” would be added on Monday, January 25, “when the label returns from holiday.”

The “Kill Bill” hitmaker recently hinted that she has even more new music in the works after receiving the “go ahead” from her manager Terrence “Punch” Henderson, despite her remarks implying that she is considering quitting her career.

“And before yall even start.. Punch gave the go ahead to purge and drop all songs.. more things are on the way (sic)” she tweeted on the microblogging platform.

SZA requested permission from her management to release three additional songs, “Take You Down,” “PSA,” and “Open Arms,” but he advised her to hold off on releasing any more until “at least” Christmas or the New Year.

Punch replied, “All right,” after the 35-year-old singer shared a screen grab of their texts. At the very least, I believe we should give this a week to settle down. Give it to them for Christmas (sic) or New Year’s.
