Premier League: Mohammed Salah declares his departure from Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has made the startling admission that this season will probably be his final one at Liverpool. The Reds’ period came to an end when the Egyptian star told Sky Sports that no negotiations for a contract extension had taken place.

Salah, who moved from Roma to Liverpool in 2017, is now the third-highest scorer in Liverpool history and a consistent candidate for the top five Ballon d’Or awards.

Salah expressed his desire for a final victory when looking back on his journey: “I want to win the Premier League.” Since this is my last year at the club, we want to do something special for the city because we didn’t celebrate properly in 2020. “We’ve won almost everything,” he said, “but it would be amazing to win the league twice.”

“So far, yes, this is my last season,” Salah said, leaving a little window for a possible extension even though his contract expires in June. However, we’ll wait and see.

His next destination is currently a subject of speculation, as Saudi Arabian teams are actively pursuing him. Given that Liverpool might lose one of its best players ever, it is unclear if Salah would stay in Europe or relocate to the Middle East.
