Maguire anticipates that the transition to Amorim at Manchester United will be challenging

Harry Maguire, Manchester United’s defender, stated that the squad has complete confidence in the new manager, Ruben Amorim, but the transition from Erik ten Hag to Amorim will be challenging due to their vastly different approaches.

Since succeeding Ten Hag in November, the 39-year-old former Sporting manager, who advocates for a back three, has won four, lost five, and drawn one of his ten games.

United has been unable to establish any momentum in the Premier League and are currently ranked 14th, having suffered four consecutive losses.

In an interview published on Sunday, Maguire stated, “The issue is with the managers and their styles; it is not as though they have all arrived with similar styles.”

“They are diametrically opposed in terms of their desires and expectations.”

“Consequently, the transition period will be challenging.” We all have a strong sense of confidence in the manager and his coaching personnel. I am confident that the situation will improve.

United, who suffered a 2-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday, will host Newcastle United later on Monday. They will then travel to face Liverpool, the current leaders, on Sunday.
